CBSE board
CBSE is acronyms for Central Board of Secondary Education. It is a board of education
almost in all states of India and headquartered in New Delhi. CBSE affiliates
public schools like all Kendriya
Vidyalayas, all Jawahar
Navodaya Vidyalayas and most of the private schools.
The board conducts examination for 10th and 12th as well
as many competition exams like JEE for the aspirants of engineering and AIPMT
for medical aspirants and NET for junior research fellowship and many more. Now
CBSE is the largest exam conducting body in the world. The board has many
statuary committees which supervises the function of board. Some of these
committees are:
· Finance
committee for the revision
of rates of fees, payments for work pertaining to exam and affiliation.
· Examinations
committee for the date and
duration of paper, maximum/minimum marks/ criteria appointment of paper
setters.
· Affiliation
committee for granting
affiliation to schools and colleges, set qualification for teachers, constituting
inspection panels etc.
· Curriculum
committee for renewal and
modifying the curriculum in schools.
The overall supervision of the board
is under the Controlling Authority, Government of India, and Ministry of Human
Resource Development which provides rules and regulations for the governing
committees.
To execute the function effectively
the board set up regional offices in different parts of the country to be more
responsive to schools which are affiliated to CBSE.
